Gardman No Grow Fat Snax

Gardman No Grow Fat Snax are a an excellent source of energy and are a year round favourite for our feathered friends. They contain a blend of sunflower hearts, peanut bites and suet treats that will attract a wide range of birds such as Chaffinches, Robins and Dunnocks.

Garden birds are welcome guests, but messy eaters and spilled seeds can sprout, causing unwanted weeds. Our No Grow Fat Snax contain ingredients that have been flaked and kibbled so they won’t germinate. Great for garden birds, even better for gardeners.

"A WORLD INSPIRED BY BIRDS AND INFORMED BY SCIENCE"

British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) is the UK charity that works to understand the science behind birds and their interaction with the natural environment.

Passionate about birds, the science, and the role we can all play in engaging with these causes; BTO seeks to inspire us in support of its science. Engaging with birds and their natural world enhances our well-being and gives us a greater understanding of birds and nature.

Helpful hints and tips

The BTO recommend year round feeding; in autumn/winter when food is scarce and in spring/summer when parents need a plentiful supply to nurture their young.

Put out feed twice a day, once in the morning and again in the afternoon to ensure your garden birds have a constant supply of food.

Use a selection of seed blends and suets to attract a variety of species.

Make water available year round for birds to drink and bathe, ensuring it doesn't freeze over winter.

Hygiene is important. Prevent bacteria build up by cleaning feeders and feeding areas with mild disinfectant, removing bird droppings, leftovers and wet food.

Reposition feeders regularly to stop food and bacteria build up.
