The George Foreman Variable Temperature Grill cooks up to 5 portions with absolute control. Fat reduction is at the core of the George Foreman brand and independent tests have shown that the George Foreman Grill may reduce the fat content of food by up to 42%* thanks to its angled grill design that channels fat away from foods. When the grill is shut, gentle pressure is applied and additional fat is removed into a separate drip tray that can simply be wiped clean with kitchen roll.
This grill benefits from a variable temperature control function for browning meat. This function allows you to cook food at its optimum temperature according to the type of food being cooking and of course, personal taste. For example, one piece of meat may not need a red hot temperature, while another piece might benefit from it.
Adjustable Rear Foot
The foot on the George Foreman Variable Temperature grill is adjustable for flat or angled cooking. Can be used on an angle when cooking meat or anything that contains fat as the foot can be raised and the grill tilted, speeding the flow of fat into the drip tray. Used flat if used for a panini, searing asparagus or a cheese and ham toastie for example.
The grill’s floating hinge is designed to accommodate extra thick cuts – so users can be generous with their portion slicing. With a floating hinge the grill top can move more freely, which could assist in the toasting of sandwiches, paninis or grilling more sizable foods.
The 18871 George Foreman Variable Temperature Grill can be useful for families or large groups as it is able to accommodate 5 chicken breasts on the grill at one time.
Non-stick grill plates
There is no need to add butter or oil to the George Foreman grill plates as they are non-stick, allowing for the reduction of additional oil or fat. The non-stick coating also makes it easier for the fat to glide away from the food and having this coating also helps when cleaning the grill.
The adjustable rear foot folds flat for compact vertical storage. This can be a space saving feature for those unable to keep it out on the work tops.
What can I cook?
The George Foreman Grill can cook a variety of food such as red and white meat, fish, vegetables, all from fresh or frozen. You can create many delicious recipes from burgers and sausages to kebabs and toasted sandwiches.
